Editorial Review a Little Misleading,
By Kurt "Software Developer" (Belleair Bluffs, FL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Master Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional VISUALLY (Paperback)
The Editorial Review starts off talking about Installing and Configuring Windows 2000 Profesional. I purchased it thinking it would be a good guide while installing 2000 for the first time, however it is not until chapter 29 before the six pages of very minimal installation procedures begin. The procedures do not go into any detail about the consequences of one choice over another. The book overall would not be bad as a "How To" for someone with limitted Windows (any version) experience who has to use 2000 to do their daily work. I would recommend it for System Administrators to give to their more "High Maintanence" Users. If you are looking for a book that helps you through the Implementation Process in a clear easy to Understand manner oddly enough I would reccomend Microsoft's "Self Paced MCSE Training Kit, Windows 2000 Professional".

Great Format - Buy this one!,

The format for these books is what makes me buy them every time. If you're an IT manager you can take this book to an employee who doesn't know anything about Win2000 and let them answer their own questions or make their own changes. This is a big time saver. I own several of these books. I buy every one of them I can -- they pay off every time with the step by step screen shots --hey, even a third grader could do these tasks!
