Not just a Giant Mosquito., June 11, 2005
This review is from: Master of Mosquiton: The Complete OVA Series (DVD)
Ok, the basic synopsys is Mosquiton is a 1/4th vampire who is the bound servant to a bloodline of witches. This bloodline of witches have deadicated their lives to finding a magical relic called the "O Part" which will give the owner eternal life and youth. It turns out that the "O Part" actually comes from space and an evil Vampire wants to use it to destroy the world along with some very sinester alien friends.
Ok, it's silly, it's alittle campy, and it's hours of fun if you love anime that doesn't take itself to seriously and constantly makes fun of the heroin because she has small boobs (ala Slayers). it also features two very kick ass demons of Fire and Ice, a wonderfully sexy Vampiress, and some majorly uber fight scenes between our hero and the Dark Vampire foe. Lot's of magic, lots of T&A. and lots of laughs. but with a dark twist. I highly recomend at least checking out this anime and contemplaiting adding it to your collection.

Entertaining, July 4, 2010
This review is from: Master of Mosquiton: The Complete OVA Series (DVD)
Master of Mosquiton is not a deep, enriching, plot twisting anime explosion (See fma:brotherhood.)
Mosquiton is a funny, light hearted anime, that does no take itself seriously. It's 6 episodes long.
The animation is nice (it is an OVA.) And the characters, although a bit cliche, are pretty funny.
I recommend Mosquiton for those looking for a laugh.

Fun little vampire romp, September 29, 2010
This review is from: Master of Mosquiton: The Complete OVA Series (DVD)
Set in the 1920s this tells the adventures of the 1/4 vampire Alucard Von Mosquiton, his two elemental servants, and his young female master, Hitomebore Inaho, who wants to find a magic item called the O-part so she can live forever at her current age--a quest she has been on for the two years since she woke Mosquiton up.
The six episode series doesn't take itself entirely seriously and the English dub adds to the already large famous person name list in the series. In the first and second episodes a huge pyramid appears in London and we learn about the creators of the O-Part, the Star Lords who are vampires on a cosmic scale and periodically feed on Earth. In addition we meet Mosquiton's old foe Saint Germain (he pronounces it Sangermain in the English dub) who is wheeling Rasputin around in a wheel chair. We are also introduced to two running gags of the series--Mosquiton having to order his two reluctant elemental servants to power up (ie change from children to adults) to help and Mosquiton going nuts due to drinking Hitomebore Inaho's blood and getting staked before he can feed on her.
In the third episode we meet Camille Inaho Carmilla, Mosquiton's vampire wife and evidence of the pyramid on the Moon Mosquiton and company were transported to and from in episode two.
In the fourth episode Camille and Hitomebore fight each other for possession of Mosquiton while Rasputin is building a pyramid so he can use the life energy of Earth as a weapon to destroy the Star Lords--which will kill everyone on the planet in the process.
The fifth has Camille and Hitomebore's battle take them to Rasputin's pyramid and ultimately back to the moon.
The sixth and final episode concerns the battle for the fate of the Earth with Rasputin revealing he had been around a long time continually calling Hitomebore Inaho a monkey and her getting her wish at immortality.
