Tricks are NOT just for kids
I admit it. I'm old. But even a 40something like me can appreciate the energy and inventiveness of these little neo-punk/folksy kids. Japanther is like Radiohead if all the members were about 15 years old. If only they'd play stuff like this on the radio.

what a waste!
I,ve heard about this band and bought into the hype. It started off good with samples by Richard Pryor and Red Foxx but the second track where they actually play? music i was let down. I can honestly say that the music is awful! I dont mean to bash them to hard but, this music sounds like it was made by 12 year olds, dyi ethics, c,mon.

This cd is particularly fantastic because it captures the live sound and experience as much as ever could be on a recording. So many of these songs get stuck in your head. After listening to it non-stop for weeks, I still have to pull it out and listen to it almost a year later. It's definitely on my top 10. (you can hear samples on myspace.)
