Book Description

July 6, 2006
The Master of Speech deciphers the ancient mythology of the Dogon, an isolated African tribe who live along a 200-kilometre stretch of escarpment called the Cliffs of Bandiagara near Timbuktu. The French anthropologist Griaule recorded the Dogon mythology in 1947 in his book, Conversations with Ogotemmêli.

The Dogon had knowledge of the triple star Sirius system that was told to Griaule long before modern astronomers discovered the third star in the system in 1995. The Dogon told Griaule they had obtained their knowledge from amphibious beings who came to Earth from the Sirius star system. After extensive analysis of this mythology, Dorey reveals that these alien beings called Nummo were responsible for human creation through genetic engineering. She further proves that their contact with the Earth resulted in the evolution of most of the world's major religions. The Master of Speech focuses on the connections between paganism, Christianity, and the Greek and Egyptian mythologies. It reveals the connection of the Zodiac to this mythology and refers to the destruction of the Earth as told in Plato's Timeas relating to Atlantis. It talks about the human unconscious and our relationship to time and immortality.

The information presented in this book will be disturbing for some individuals. The facts however speak for themselves. This is a must read for anyone wanting to come to terms with the truth about the beginning of human existence.

As was noted in a previous review, this IS a complex book, but for anyone studying the Dogon and/or mankind's ancient past, this is a must have. Ms Dorey has done a spectacular job researching aspects of ancient history and myths, associating them with the legends of the nummo in Dogon lore. I go back to this book repeatedly when researching ancient cultures in regard to ufology and languages. I sincerely hope one day soon that Amazon will carry her follow-up book, "The Nummo."

3.0 out of 5 stars Informative, April 26, 2008
This review is from: The Master of Speech (Paperback)
This is a good book, but the symbology of it is still somewhat difficult to understand, other than that, it is an excellent read.

1.0 out of 5 stars LOOK AT THIS!, November 16, 2010
This review is from: The Master of Speech (Paperback)
Here's a very quick, completely valid way to refute the information in books about the Dogon, Sirius, Space Aliens, Genetic Engineering: Go the the amazon.com page for R.K.G. Temple's "THE SIRIUS MYSTERY" and READ THE 1-STAR REVIEWS THERE. AMONG THEM YOU'LL FIND ONE THAT IS VERY WELL-WRITTEN AND WHICH DETAILS FACTS ABOUT HOW THESE AUTHORS HAVE BEEN USING THE DOGON TO SELL NONSENSE TO THE READERS IN THE WEST.
THE DOGON THEMSELVES HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SIRIUS HAVING A COMPANION; DOGON SHAMANS DON'T AGREE ABOUT WHAT SIRIUS MEANS MYTHOLOGICALLY: THE DOGON DO NOT HAVE ALIEN IMAGERY AS PART OF THE CEREMONIAL TRAPPINGS OR AS DECORE IN THEIR HOUSING: ETC., ETC., ETC.,
Go read that review. It even mentions an newspaper article which blows this whole business of Space Aliens and the Dogon myths to pieces!
