Cianciulli was instrumental in creating the food television phenomenon as it exists today via her role as producer for innovative Food Network programming such as the wildly popular series Food 911 with Tyler Florence, Tyler's Ultimate, Simply Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann and Next Iron Chef.

In addition to over 1,000 episodes filmed with the now-iconic network, Cianciulli has completed production of MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay debuting on FOX Tuesday July 27th, which she complemented by writing the cookbook to launch with the series. This is a good solid paperback cookbook that tells about the MasterChef competition. There are recipes in here of both the contestants and some of the chef/judges.
There is a section about needed equipment basics and stocking the pantry. There is help in how to choose wine with different meals and food.
This is not a basic cookbook, but not all that difficult, even a determined beginning cook could complete these recipes; like egg in purgatory. My 10 year old wanna be - master chef- grandson even made the stuffed buttermilk pancakes on an aebleskiver pan (with a little help).
There are tales from the show, like when Gordon Ramsey had the contestants chop onions for 90 minutes. Directions and pictures are given for many techniques, such as cubing a mango or blanching. Each recipe has the ideas behind it from the individual. Included are very good directions; if a recipe says to roast peppers, they tell you how to do it.
Recipes (most have pictures)included are: breakfast, soups, salads and starters, pasta, poultry, seafood, meat, dessert and basics such as chicken broth, cooking rice and mayonnaise.

It is a deceptive cookbook, in that many might think it has very complicated recipes, but even that cook starting out or a more experienced cookbook collector would find this book useful.

Finally the tricks of the trade are spilled in this cookbook so you don't have to guess about how those gourmet dishes were made on the Master Chef show. What I love is that it even breaks down basic tasks like how to cut onions (which they featured in an episode), so you can learn the RIGHT way to do it at home!

If you enjoyed the Master Chef show, you must have this book. Quite a few of the contestants have recipes in the book and nearly all of the winning challenge recipes are there. It also has various tip and technique sections that I have thoroughly enjoyed. While it is a mute point now, I actually received the book 2 weeks PRIOR to the Master Chef finale, so I kind of knew who had already won the various challenges, although not the ultimate winner. Would highly recommend. I've cooked several of the recipes and they were all great. I even made my first successful Apple Pie. One of my favorite cookbooks!! (and I have hundreds)

I purchased this cookbook for my husband for Christmas about two years ago because he is a huge fan of the show. Since that time, we have cooked most of the recipes in the book several times. I get more compliments of the meals from this book than anything else I cook. The recipes and pictures are great...but in my opinion, the reason to get this book is because the food is just soo good. Also, it is a great reference tool, too. It has instructions on cooking basics and techniques (like segmenting citrus, for example).
This is the first review I have ever written. And I just feel compelled to because this book is just that good.

This cookbook is great!!! The recipes are really great and even the most novice of cooks can make these recipes! I made my first souffle and it came out perfectly! I amazed myself and my family!

Some of the ethnic recipes require some spices that you can find in your regular grocery store, if not, then they will be available in the upper scale ones. I had no problems finding any of the ingredients for anything I've made so far, and I've made quite a few since I've had the book! My family gets excited when they see I have the book out and am making something from it. Next up is the chocolate hazelnut pistachio cupcakes! After that I'm making Whitney's winning dessert. Gotta go, oh, and definitely get the book!

I own many cookbooks but I found this is probabaly one of the best I have purchased. The book features simple and easy recipes from the contestants and judges of the TV show Master Chef. It is packed with illustrations and tidbits of information on various dishes as well as basic culinary hints such as peeling citrus, handling seafood, carving a turkey etc. It thoroughly covers necessary kitchen utensils, as well as spices and basic condiments. The nicest part is the book contains many recipes that the average person would love to eat and could actually create. This would be an excellent wedding gift or for someone moving into their first home. Well written and easy to understand I highly reccomend this cookbook to all cooks no matter what level their culinary skills might be.

I really enjoyed the show and the contestants. And, I like the celebrity chefs involved. (nice to get recipes of theirs also) I was excited to see this cookbook. I own about a hundred cook books and I am a fairly accomplished home cook (NOT A CHEF). This book is entertainig, but more than that the recipes are written in a way that is easy for ANYONE to follow. So far the recipes have been excellent. Lee's Beef Tenderloin with Port-Plum sauce and Shrimp with Passoion Fruit Glaze is particularly EXCELLENT and Whitney's No bake cheescake with Graham Cracker Caramel topping is as good ( I did make my own berry compote however). There are so many other recipes I have tagged to make. I really feel it's an excellent quality book at an excellent price and of course, Amazon is always great. BUY IT...you will not regret it.
