If anyone attended White Party Palm Springs, they will know that Brett was on fire at the Closing Party, spinning one great tune after another and he does the same thing on this CD. The best part of the CD is that you here every song in its entirety although Brett would of done a great job blending the tunes it is a definite must have - you will relieve 2001 Parties while listening to this CD.

Non-beatmixed, full length mixes. This is how Masterbeat should have stayed.,

While the Masterbeat series is still a great way to get many remixes that weren't otherwise released commercially on CD thanks to the digital download craze, this disc was probably the last volume that didn't run continuously as a 'party' disc, which is why it is so perfect. In this day and age, serious collectors who want solid evidence of their music collection and not just some disposable files that can disappear for ever with the crash of a hard drive, this kind of format is a much needed one in the CD industry. track times are:
1. The Dance (9:19) 2. Disco Cop (8:21) 3. Woman in Love (8:44) 4. Echkeboom (12:05) 5. Ordinary World (8:23) 6. With My Own Eyes (7:04) 7. Everytime (8:21) 8. Sweet Angel (8:53)

Even though it's "not mixed', it's still flows extremely well from one song to another (flawless). I am new to the MasterBeat series, and I'm hooked! This CD is a definite recommend, (along with White Party 2001).

Not too long ago, about the only way circuit boys could find their favorite club songs was with a series of CDs called "MasterBeat". These discs were sought after by every circuit boy until much to our horror, they suddenly vanished and became valuable collectors items. Two years have passed and finally the series is back and now you can now buy them everywhere. DJ Brett Henrichsen has compiled eight circuit hits and presents them in an unmixed, DJ friendly format. Several of these tracks have been unavailable until now so run out and pick up a copy. The disc begins with Hex Hector's remix of Rockell's 'The Dance'. The song is a standard anthem dance track, notable only for Hex's mix, which is typical of his style and doesn't really give us anything new and exciting. It's a good thing his remixes are so infectious. Blue Adonis' 'Disco Cop' is a dance floor favorite and is one of the highlights of this disc. Little Eric's 'Echkeboom' is a tribal chant also popular right now. Aurora's cover of Duran Duran's 'Ordinary World' has been out for several months as a hard to find import single and Brett includes the Above and Beyond mix here. I just can't get enough of this song, it's perfect euphoric trance. Sash's 'With My Own Eyes' continues my euphoria and it peaks with Lustral's 'Everytime'. I have plugged this song so many times that this time I'll only say that it's just about the best vocal trance song ever produced. Brett Henrichsen has produced several hot discs available now (his "White Party" mix and Michael Duretto's "Evolution Two") but this is the one you'll want to pick up first.
