Great grill, but try to find parts,

This review is from: Masterbuilt 20030307 Veranda Stainless-Steel Propane Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I have had my Masterbuilt for a few years now, and the only problem that I have had is that the inside bowl that covers the flame has rusted through.
I contacted Masterbuilt, and they told me that they no longer make this grill and there are no parts for it. They told me that I should go to a local welder to make me one. Right; that will happen. I don't want to get rid of a SS grill that cost over $200 for the single cheapest part on the grill that isn't SS, so I need to come up with a solution on my own. So much for customer service.

Great grill this is the second one i bought, the first was eight year ago & I love it. You will not get what shown in the picture! You will only get the grill not the two working platform on the sides!!!

Why would anyone manufacture a stainless steel grill with a brass burner for $200 only to have the thing rendered totally useless by a flimsy drip pan / flame bowl that wears out in about a year? YOU CANNOT BUY PARTS FOR THIS GRILL. Masterbuilt will not answer their customer service line or their main line. They will not return emails. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ONE OF THESE GRILLS!

I have had my grill for 4 years and have enjoyed it greatly. Now I need the drip pan, cooking grate and therometer and cannot buy them anywhere. What a waste to make a stainless steel grill that will last for years and not inventory parts for it. It is back to Charbroil for me. They carry parts for years.

Grill worked great for a couple of years then I needed replacement parts for the burner and drip pan which are not stainless and rusted out. Contacted the company and was told they no longer sell the grill and parts are NOT AVAILABLE! Pretty worthless support for their products. STAY AWAY FROM MASTERBUILT unless you are willing to buy throw away products!

I have flames shooting out from under the control knob on the front. I'm guessing I need a part or two to repair the problem but have yet to locate replacements.

The Masterbuilt Veranda Stainless-Steel Grill is absolutely perfect for our apartment balcony. My girlfriend just loves it! The assembly took just a few minutes, and the quality of the materials is outstanding. The stainless steel is easy to clean and looks very classy. Even though the grilling surface is on the small side, the heat distributes very evenly, even to the very edge. We had a party with five people last weekend, and the grill had no problem keeping up with us. The best feature is the fact that the grill works with the small 16 oz. propane canisters (usually used for camping). Instead of attaching one of those ugly big, white, heavy tanks, we use the grill exclusively with the 16 oz. canisters (which last for about four grilling sessions). There is a hanging attachment for the small canister on the side of the grill, which keeps the entire grill attractive (a big, ugly, white tank on the floor would certainly mess up the good looks). The 16 oz. canisters are available at Wal-Mart for about $2.50, so we always keep a few in our closet. If you do not mind paying a few dollars extra (as compared to some other grills), this is the grill to get for its outstanding looks, functionality, and that 16. oz propane capability.

I live in a condo and have a small patio/outdoor space. Although I do not recommend this item for a family (it is limited in grilling space) this is a perfect grill for a couple or a small family of 3. It is extremely sturdy and well-built. It even comes with the adapter for the large 20lb gas tanks. Many of the other small grills I looked required you to purchase the adapter separately. The only issue I have is that the original photo listed on amazon had small wood shelves on the sides. when the item came, there were no shelves. This is disappointing, as the only difficulty with this item is there is no where to put the food when you are cooking.
Other than that, it is a great item and a good alternative to a full-sized grill. It even came with a cover for when the grill is not in use.

I have a Masterbuilt Veranda Stainless-Steel grill and the disk that cover the flame has rusted and broken off. Can anyone help where I can replace this part.
Thank you,

The flame "bowl" rusted out and one appears not to be available. Fine frill until this happened. Of course the self igniter went out quickly too. If I could get flame bowl it would be super grill. Cover not too good either-- wears out quickly!
