4.0 out of 5 stars Good little coal bbq
This is a good little bbq for your buck. Small enough to be easily transported and stored away. Large enougth to have 6-10 burger patties cooking at one time.
I used it as a bbq/smoker and the side vents worked great.
The main lid isn't very secure, when it is on, but not so loose as to cause issues.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants a small...

1.0 out of 5 stars Masterbuilt or Kingsford?
This is the Kingsford grill relabeled. The quality of construction is very good and this could be a great portable grill except for a design flaw not shown in the Masterbuilt pic but viewable at the Kingsford site. The lower vent is located above the coals and circulates air over the fire, not through it.

If you toss the lid and keep a squirt gun on hand, you're in business. Use of the lid tends to snuff out the briquettes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Little Grill, March 31, 2011

This review is from: Masterbuilt 20040110 14-Inch Kettle Charcoal Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I am thrilled with this little charcoal grill. It's got plenty of room for a dozen hamburgers or lots of combination's of food. It heats up fast and has venting for the top and bottom on opposite sides which makes adjusting the amount of air or how fast the charcoal burns just a breeze - excuse the pun. It is also very stable for the table or any surface, plus the ash can on the bottom has quite a lot of room for the spent charcoal. So thumbs up 5 times and it's very easy to keep clean. A must have accessory is the charcoal chimney starter which eliminates the need for lighter fluid. I should have bought the two together, but I didn't really know how well it worked. In 10 minutes, I had hot coals and just emptied them onto the charcoal grill, then I was ready to go! A great combination!
