I needed a R134A tool and bought this in error, however; it still allowed me to change my valve stem. Since that time I have been able to help someone else do a R12 one. If I need R134A again I will definitely order it through this same vendor.

So what are you going to do when you unscrew the cap of your R12 system and discover the Schraeder valve is leaking? This clever tool lets you change out the Schraeder valve without having to go through the whole process of recapturing the R12, evacuating and refilling the system. And it works great! Pays for itself the first time you need it. Not something you may need often, but a real help when you do.

This tool is awesome, although I rarely use it.

If you spot a leaky valve core, you can just replace it in-situ, and not need to lose all of the oil & refrigerant in the system, not to mention risking introducing contaminants. Worked perfectly on my '96 Mazda MX-6 w/2.5L.
