It goes without saying that you are expected to be able to design something, or at least to know what is like to work as a designer.

I had never opened the Autodesk Inventor application before purchasing Master Autodesk Inventor 2013. I needed a book that would work well for a complete beginner. This book is so far working great for me. I think if I had had some previous experience I would have been able to hop around the chapters but for me I started at the beginning of the book and am slowly moving forward.

I believe this is a good book for a beginner who wants to know everything about Inventor and has the patience to slowly work through the chapters. If you want to jump right into cool looking projects then this might not be the book for you.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I find it difficult to find info on certain subjects when I do want to jump forward.

This book is great! I'm a H.S Teacher who uses Inventor quite often and this book showed me so many new tricks I never knew about. It was easy to read, very descriptive, and helped me master Inventor. I highly recommend this book. I'm going cover to cover and I'm already half way through and haven't encountered a single error or got stuck on any of the activities. Great book and a great resource.

I am veteran AutoCAD user. I started in 1989 with AutoCAD 2.6, through the years I have used most of the Autodesk products, finding the time to "Take a Class" has become hArder. The tutorials along with the "Mastering" series of books is how I train myself. This is book is a great book to keep up with the latest product enhancements.

I was a complete beginner at Inventor and this book brought me along well. There are lots of exercises. At first I thought it was tedious going through them but I realized quickly that repetition is important with this software. I ended up being very glad I bought the book.
