Here's what you get with this book:
- Pages 1-30: Insurance marketing is changing. You will need to adapt to survive.
- Pages 30-50: There's a new phenomenon called social media. You should use it for your agency.
- Pages 50-70: You should also buy lots of leads from the authors' website insuranceagents.com
- Pages 70-150: Common sense sales advice such as "know what you're selling" and "know the customer"
- Pages 150-160: Reminder that the authors are awesome and that you should buy leads from them

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 10 years you're not going to learn anything about how an agency can use social media for marketing. This is especially disappointing given the title.

In addition to having very poor quality content, the book is poorly written and edited. It begins with the front cover which states "200+ pages of tips and advice from top agents" but there are 186 pages, in one section they switch briefly to a different font for no apparent reason before switching back, there are random blank pages inserted for no reason (page 159, 160), typos, etc.

Insurance is built on relationships. You can help show your awareness but that has to be the driving force to build an agency.

This book has a lot of good information on marketing your insurance agency. Most of it is common sense if you are up to date on the latest media for advertising your business. This book is a good read: if you are not using a web site, face book, or any of the most common media for advertising your business. I highly recommend this book. Buy it, read it. Use what learn.
