Okay, I admit that this program seemed cool. It had the reviews to back it up, too. Anyway, this software package was anything but complete. With one conversational practice per unit there is no way to learn the language. After going through the program I tried the SAT II test. Nothing the "teaching" part of the software provided would give someone the skills to answer the questions. The program DID provide a great pronounication practice. This is its main strength.

A publication titled "Mastering..." anything should be comprehensive. This CD is not. It is a mere introduction to the Korean language. You would do better to buy a Berlitz travel cassette for much less money. The book "College Korean" is a much better investment, if you're interested in learning about Korean grammer and sentence structure. My wife is Korean and she disputes several pronunciation examples encountered. Unless you expect little for your money don't buy this product. It isn't without value, mind you, it just isn't worth what you pay.

I think Mastering Korean CD is one of best tools to learn Korean. Espcially grammer and pronunciation is very hlepful.As second generation korean living in South america,I always tried to find good korean-learning material.Studying Korean with Mastering Korean CD makes me enhance my korean skill. I would like to recommend Mastering Korean CD to those who want to study Korean systematically.

Mastering Korean's video clips include full audio of all conversations, which allows users to follow along with on screen material.

I highly recommend this software for students and anyone else who wants to learn Korean as a second language!

As a second-generation Korean, I found the CD Mastering Korean an excellent tool for learning pronunciation, grammar and conversational Korean. Its user-friendly multimedia interface allows the user to learn Korean with the aid of on-screen tools including built-in Korean pronunciation help, English translation including Korean words and characters sounded out phonetically, and video clips of everyday conversation. My limited knowledge of Korean has vastly improved through the use of this CD, including pronunciation and grammar. I would recommend this software to anyone wanting to learn or improve their Korean
