5.0 out of 5 stars Domino Designer, etc.
I bought this book mainly for its review of Domino Designer but was presently surprised to find so much more. For a Notes newbie like me ... this book appears to be a solid find!

3.0 out of 5 stars Discription in ad correct - review #1 is NOT
I can't really see why a Notes ADMINISTRATOR would want this book. It has NOTHING about Domino Server, mergers, large R5 installations, TCI/IP, etc....

It's nice for end users and developers, but NOT admins. Not even new admins in small installations.

The first review here is very misleading. I'm returning the book. I think the reviewer above may have confused this...

2.0 out of 5 stars Thorough book, but not enough practice on it, August 19, 2001

This review is from: Mastering Lotus Notes and Domino R5 Premium Edition (Hardcover)
Although this book was very complete in its coverage of the program's features, it SERIOUSLY lacked many practical examples, tutorials, etc. It's one thing to read about the various features of Lotus Notes in this book, but it's much better in my opinion to actually practice them.

5.0 out of 5 stars A guided reference for Notes Administrators, May 16, 2000
This review is from: Mastering Lotus Notes and Domino R5 Premium Edition (Hardcover)
Any Notes Administrator will simply love to have this book handy, when it comes to supporting large Notes R5 Installation. Here you'll find every little things taken care of viz. how to install TCP/IP domain or IPX/SPX Notes Domain. You'll know how can you handle two different company, who was running Domino Server, merger. This is highly needed in today's scenario, because of the ongoing merger spree. You also will be able to handle lotus script writing and posting common documents. You can flatly advise your company about the amount of hard disk space it requires for implementing Domino Server, whether they need partitioned server, set disk quota etc. It has also dealt with Notes upgrade from R4. So voila! Here is the book you were looking for. In one word, you can have very good sleep at night, once you lay your hand on this book.
