5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Book., May 9, 1998
This review is from: Mastering Microsoft Access for Windows 95 (Paperback)
I had originally bought the Paul Litwin, Ken Getz Access 95 Developer's Handbook and found myself in over my head. That book recommended the Mastering MS Access Book by Olson and Simpson. I have found that these two books put together pretty much cover all aspects and all levels in developing Access 95 applications. I have bought a 3rd Access book and have yet to find a need to open it with these two books put together.

Of Course I still refer to the online help. But the Help oftentimes will not help you unless you know what you're looking for, using the correct terminology. This is where the books come in.

Amateur Developer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive Book on MS Access 95, August 13, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: Mastering Microsoft Access for Windows 95 (Paperback)
This huge book (1000+ pages) coveres just about everything you want to know about MS Access. It starts from the very beginning explaining all the concepts needed to use Access successfully. The book goes into some intermidiate / advanced topics like creating a custom application. It's only serious weakness is covering Visaul Basic for applications. You may want to pick up another book (or read the manuals) introducing that topic.

By A Customer
This review is from: Mastering Microsoft Access for Windows 95 (Paperback)
Mastering Microsoft Access For Windows 95 is a well written state of the art guide for Database developers and managers. This book covers everything completely with the exception of Visual Basic. Great for linking, importing, and exporting data. J. Douglas James, Database Developer Everett, WA
