There's a lot to read and understand for an Exchange Newbie but, if you've got the server in front of you, this book gives you an excellent base for your experience to build on. The author gives a good messaging system review and then dives into what's new. An experienced Exchange Admin shouldn't have any problem picking up Exchange 07 knowledge and he/she reads on but may likely be searching for the next generation exchange server guide by the time they finish this one. It's a thorough book, indeed.

The book is very general and basically just a high level overview. I would not recommend this book at all. I installed a fresh Exchange 2007 server and found much more detailed information on the web. Save your money.

Cannot go into specifics, because didn't read, and may never read. From a cursory review, it seemed well constructed and comprehensive. But seeing how dog-eared, and bookmark laden my wife's copy has become, it must be good. My wife has little patience for dim-witted technical blathering, or impractical theorizing.
She is very "results-oriented", so any book that sustained her interest can consumed her very constrained time must be recommendable. This edition is for SP1, which is the Service Pack level where many enterprise feature were added. |
