MASTERING NICHE MARKETING - this gives enormous value to the reader - both beginner and experienced. It's release is also perfect timing, given the economy. This book truly under-promises and over-delivers. It takes you step-by-step through the whole process of developing a marketing niche. It's the most detailed, comprehensive and exceptional guide to creating and marketing a product Online that I've ever seen or read - bar none. The author removes all the guesswork.

In my opinion, this book gives the reader (the potential Online business entrepreneur) a wonderful "foundation" for pursuing a successful Online business from home. There are far too many "failures" in this industry - because of not being able to 'find' the right niche - or because of the lack of (or poor) training -- this book can change all that as I see it.

ERIC VAN DER HOPE - its author, has high credentials behind him. Perhaps more importantly, he gives a list of his mentors at the beginning, including Ted Nichols, Anthony Robbins, Joe Sugarman, Mark Joyner, (the late) Corey Rudi, Shawn Casey, Frank Kern, Mike Litman + many, many other top marketers - a formidable mastermind group.

Some observations...

NICHE MARKET - Eric defines this as "a small but potentially profitable market segment for which it is possible to design and provide a form of custom-made product or specialized service." It involves 'targeting a group' using information about their specific preferences, which might be a group interested in - exotic vacations - real estate - tennis - gardening, etc.

NO BULL - he 'tells it like it is' in terms of becoming successful with running any Online business -- that there IS a huge market out there where good profits CAN be made -- but, that you'll need MONEY to do it -- that you'll need to take ACTION -- that there's intense COMPETITION -- that you'll need to intelligently 'identify' your market, etc. This approach impressed me.

SPECIFICS - he goes into extraordinary detail with - "Finding the Niche" -- Creating the Product" -- "Developing the Offer" -- "9 Effective Business Models" -- "Top 10 Niche Sourcing Methods" -- Case Studies -- Explicit Pictures, Screenshots, Graphs, Diagrams, Charts, etc. Amazing.

VIRTUAL STOREFRONT - you'll learn of the requirements for your Online biz (choosing Domain names, FTP accounts, Autoresponders, Merchant accounts, Hosting, Video, Audio, etc + Upselling [back-end products], Advertising, Keywords, Social Media Marketing, Testing, Traffic generation - on and on. These are only tip of the iceberg. :-)

BLOGGING - this is the 'only' part (Section 2.9) where I have a tiny disagreement with the author :-) Since developing a BLOG (for profit) can be of tremendous value in these times (as a business by itself) - and whereas he suggests using FREE Blogging platforms (like WordPress.com and/or Blogger.com) - I (personally) strongly recommend using a platform where "you" have the full control. The Free versions give you only limited scope, and they can even be "shut down" on you. The ones where 'you' provide the hosting are far superior in my opinion. I'm referring to WordPress.ORG (not the ".com" Free version). WordPress.ORG - although a little more complex - when it's tied to a good hosting service (like Hostgator.com, or those listed on Eric's page 91) - is considered the top Blog platform by most experts I believe.

ACTION STEPS - what I really liked was the way Eric ended each Phase with a set of specific Action Steps - designed to get you "in production" ASAP.

RESOURCES - he provides SO many links to great tools / systems / websites. This only expands an already rich book on the HOW TO of Internet Marketing. It removes the confusion, the overwhelm and the technical obstacles that hinder so many people that are eager to move forward in this challenging but worthwhile and potentially lucrative industry.

All in all, a magnificant contribution to the world of Internet Marketing.

My thanks to the author for this timely masterpiece - it's a classic.

"Eric, why didn't you release this manual 13 months ago?

Probably that's a regret I will have all my life!

You see, over the last 13 months, I have completely concentrated my energies building niche websites.

Although It has been a delightful experience, I made a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of money and time doing the wrong things.

Only if I got hold of "Mastering Niche Marketing" 13 months ago, I would have EASILY saved a couple of thousand dollars and around 6-7 months of my time (that I think is more important than the money I wasted).

This course (yeah, it is nothing short of a complete course!) contains 0% Hype, 0% Filler Content, 0% B.S, 0% "I've read this all before", but 100% pure solid meaty content. I am hooked!

It is all about working smarter . . . by taking the right step in the right direction. This book will be your friend, philosopher and guide through your Niche marketing journey."

This book is one of the absolute best books I've read in the Internet Marketing niche for a very, very long time. No matter if you're just starting out or have years of experience, this book will help you make money online.

This book is literally an A-Z guide covering all the details you need to run a successful online business. I've used several of the techniques and tactics in my own business. But what I loved most was there are little gold nuggets sprinkled throughout that I never even thought about before. I'll be implementing those ideas immediately to make even more money. I highly recommend this book.

Internet marketing is a fast-changing, technical, and often confusing world for many people who are trying to take advantage of this lucrative virtual storefront for their business. Eric takes this challenging subject and not only gives the WHAT and the WHY, but more importantly covers the HOW in this book. I am a money management expert, but when it comes to internet marketing I'm a kindergartener, and even I can understand and use the information in this book! Nicely Done Eric!

This is a very up to date read on Internet marketing for entrepreneurs. It is comprehensive, yet very easy to understand with practical insights that are viable in today's environment. I agree with the advice for providing a specialized service, reinforcing my beliefs in carefully targeting our audience or "becoming a bigger fish in a smaller pond."

I am a little sick of all the Internet marketing books that hype the "get rich quick" phenomenon and I particularly like the that this book does not promise you that by reading it you will make thousands of dollars, or even hundreds of dollars, or for that matter any money at all! The author states, "There is no quick money or quick fix here . . . this is solely up to you! I'm sure you've heard the biblical quote: "you reap what you sow". This is so very true. Whether its building a website, making money or creating wealth - it all comes down to what YOU do, not someone else! The more effort you put into your business, whether it's hard work, resources, or investments - the more chances that you and your business will thrive."

I particularly enjoyed the reference to the "9 effective business models." The book provides enough information and inspiration to allow the reader use it as a guide to develop their own business model and a good implementation plan.

There are many other facets to this book that make it a good resource and it provides a foundation for online business development. Van Der Hope gives focus and clarity to niche marketing on the Internet. I highly recommend this book.

I particularly enjoyed the niche marketing 'mind maps' that lay out the entire process and break it down into tiny, manageable steps. The success stories and case studies show small but significant examples of what's possible by finding and capitalizing on the right niche, and the Additional Resources section...well, let's just say it will keep your mind spinning with ideas for months to come!

Overall, a fantastic niche marketing resource that no serious online marketer should be without!

Get Niche Quick!: The Definitive Guide To Marketing Your Business On The Internet

I have a shelf full of books on writing for niche markets and selling to niche markets -- and then I bought Mastering Niche Marketing. What a great book. I have Post-It Notes throughout the book. The final chapter, "118 Additional Sizzling Hot Niche Sourcing Methods You Can't Live Without" is fantastic and is worth many times the price of the book. Eric takes the reader step-by-step through researching and finding a niche market right for what you want to do. This book will stay front and center as I plan all my projects.

I thoroughly searched the internet for books I could buy about how to set up an internet business. I didn't want to get ripped off so I spent quite a bit of time looking through all the search results and comparing what I found. So, when I found Eric Van Der Hopes' book "Mastering Niche Marketing," I held great hopes that I had found, in one book, everything that I needed to know before I began working on setting up my internet business. I waited for the Postie everyday. When I got my hands on the book I read it from front to back. Since reading the book, my hopes have not been diminished at all, and I am really happy with my purchase. I also bought another book at the same time, which is good too, but not as good as this one. "Mastering Niche Marketing," is very comprehensive. The information is very clear, and easy to read, and understand. Best of all, I now have a far greater understanding of exactly what I need to do to set up my business online from the point of view of knowing virtually nothing. I'm very pleased with myself that I made this very good choice, and I'm very pleased that there are people out there, such as Eric Van Der Hope, who have taken the time, and great consideration for their customers, to put this stuff together for people like me.

The book you need in your home office. Mastering Niche Marketing is a book filled with loads of information neccessary for anyone who is entering online business. The author has put together, from your thought mindset, to actually creating a business, and having affiliates, in over 300 pages for which you will have to read over and over again. This book goes into how to do it, and the reviews at the end of each chapter helps even more. I have never came across such a detailed book, which is also interesting to read. Please, whatever you do, buy this book, you will get more than your money's worth.

Mr. Van Der Hope's book is a valuable asset for anyone wanting to start any business. It offers excellent advice and includes dozens of web links to information that would take months (or even years) for a person to find on their own. If anyone is considering starting a business, and especially an internet based business, I highly recommend they purchase this book. It will save them a tremendous amount of time and help them avoid a zillion pitfalls that business people encounter every day. Mr. Van Der Hope has done a great service for entrepreneurs.
