Excellent book for the basics., December 23, 1998

This review is from: Mastering Quicken 99 (Mass Market Paperback)
I recently purchase Mastering Quicken 99 expecting to find some of the complicated techniques of debiting and crediting multiple accounts in one transaction. For the price, I didn't get what I needed. The book does go into good detail to explain the basics of using Quicken. I have been using Quicken since the beginning and really like the product; however, I need examples and explainations relative to long term loans made to other people. The book doesn't include information on using the new Invoice feature and Mr. Nelson advises that they were working with a bata version of Quicken 99. It's a shame, I'd like to receipt an invoice that will credit a loan account using a split transaction to account for P&I. Maybe next time I go to the book store, I'll have more time to read for the detail I need. I would enjoy sharing my circumstances with Stephen Nelson or Cathy Kenney.
