King Heiple's new book on skeet is a very innovative and helpful way to learn the game of skeet. I have a large collection of skeet books from the 40's onwards and King's book is unique in that it stresses the WHY you do things, in addition to the HOW. An excellent book for new students, old skeet shooters that want to understand WHY (so they can fix it when it is broken) and a must have book for Instructors or wanna be Instructors. For many of us students it is much easier to do something that feels uncomfortable if we know WHY we are doing it ... King Heiple and the book; Mastering Skeet provides this and a whole lot more. Get it, Use It and I will see ya at the Stadium during the World (well maybe :)

I'm just getting into skeet shooting and this was my first book that I have read. Its very well laid out and offers a significant amount of information. I was concerned that it my be a very dry read, but it turned out to be a quick and easy read.

Great for the beginners, I think some long time shooters would value the information also. I left one star off since the graphics could be better, although they do make the point.

I am a long-time and competitive skeet shooter and found the reading of this was an important reminder of some of the basics I had taken for granted and had been violating. There's nothing like the written word to remind one of that which needs to be recalled and to act as a constant reminder and coach. This book does all that and will be carried with me in my shooting travel bags.

I bought this book for my husband. He found it very helpful. There are many good illustrations and very detailed lessons to practice. It covers many areas of skeet shooting that the new shooter or the veteran can utilize.

If you are a Skeet shooter Buy This Book. I don't suggest the kindle format (I got both so I could read it anywhere anywhen) because you will want to flip between text and pictures. You won't find better information about Skeet anywhere. As a coach myself, I have suggested to every client interested in Skeet that they buy this book. You can't go wrong. The author's understanding of Skeet shines through everywhere. Everything you need to be a better Skeet shooter whether a beginner or advanced shooter, except for practice, is in this book. Do what he says--you will get better.

I just started shooting again after a 15 year layoff. I used to shoot trap, but now I want to try skeet. I gave it a go a couple of times but I was completely confused and surprised by the birds. For each station: Where do hold your gun? Where do you look for the bird? What are the leads? This book answers all of these questions and many more. Lots of information for the novice AND experienced shooter. You can skim it for the stuff you need right now; or read sections in detail for more in-depth information on fundamentals, common faults and their correction, etc. Highly recommended.

This is a great book, it details all the fundamentals for the game of skeet. It goes over the basic gun fit, the hold positions for each station, basic form, follow through as you pull the trigger it explaines alot about the game and if you follow the information it will greatly improve your score. I am glad I took the time to read it, I am new to the game and I have improved greatly in a short time. Partly from this book and with the help of a good instructor to watch my form as I use the information I have learned. I recommend this whole hartedly. Eddie
