4.0 out of 5 stars College Textbook? Wish me luck!, January 4, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Mastering StarOffice 5.2 for Linux (Paperback)
This book reads well, covers nearly every aspect of StarOffice 5.2, and strikes a very nice balance between the "novice howto" and experienced "OfficeSuite" user reference book. For example, it explains concepts and terms related to office suites and the Internet, AND it offers nice tips for working in a mixed (StarOffice and MS-Office) work environment (e.g., how to import MS-Office templates into StarOffice).

I've adopted it for this next semester in a college computing skills course in place of the more traditional textbooks. After a few hundred students use it this coming term, I'll post another review!
