More About the Author
Want to live a life filled with happiness, joy, love and laughter?
Do you want to feel loved and have all your wants and needs easily fulfilled?
Then you are in the right place! Only you can make that happen but Susan can show you how to do it easily and have fun doing it.
Susan was born and raised in NYC. She's always had a fascination with the idea of freedom and how life works. She began exploring meditation and spirituality in the 70's.
Her life has been quite an adventure, at times traumatic, but more recently filled with lots of magic and miracles.
Susan's real passion (beside enjoying life, caring for her animals and the aina, her land) is showing people how to creating a life filled with love, a love for what they are doing, a love for where they live. A love for the life they have created. A life where they wake up every day with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the coming day. A life where they wake up with a smile on their face.
She's had the gift of many amazing mentors in her life and feels privileged to share their wisdom, love, understanding and joy with others through her books, teachings, coaching programs and podcasts. You can find Food for the Soul here https://tinyurl.com/ohnp4cg
Susan had the good fortune to study with don Miguel Ruiz and his mother in the 80's long before The Four Agreements. Since then she has traveled the world sharing the love and the wisdom so lovingly shared with her.
She loves labyrinths - walking them and building them all over the world.
Susan went from being depressed and suicidal to waking up happy and excited about the coming day. Susan owns a beautiful home on the Big Island of Hawaii and she's surrounded by a loving family and lots of animals she has adopted and rescued over the years. Susan gets to swim with turtles and dolphins. Life is grand, a far cry from where she started.
She recently started writing a series of books that will show you the reader how to create the life of your dreams. She has always believed that we come to earth to enjoy this beautiful, sensual, magical place. We are born and then once we remember who and what we are the magic and fun begins.

Each day brings something to try; a new way to look at life. There are stories from the Grandma that teach as well. There are meditations to try. It is a book for "doing", not just reading. The reading is quite good, but it is the action that makes the book come alive.
Perhaps this is what makes this book different from other, similar kinds of books. It is an invitation to take action, to change one's life.
So far, my life is changing quite nicely as I read and "do" this book
If we allow ourselves to step into this book's element a loving world opens up as lightly as a magical dream.
This book is a new friend for life.
However, there is not much, that is really Toltec in this book. Yes, there are exercises and suggestions around awareness but that is not a uniquely Toltec trait. Yoga, Sufism, mysticism, and meditation all use awareness as an approach to inner truth.
Not Castenada, Mares, Ken Eagle Feather, nor Ruiz have really captured the full vision of a Toltec. What is promoted as a Toltec being the awakening dreamer is only part of the story. Toltec means a master craftsman or person of knowledge. However a Toltec is also someone who knows the limits to knowledge and that no system of knowledge can bring freedom in itself. Knowledge and freedom are just more concepts if all you have is a knowledge based approach to life.
A Toltec was a seer who realized that beauty, wisdom, and movement was the way to catalyze and transcend the apparent duality of the universe (and the 'self' is part of the apparent duality). Central to Toltec thoughts were also the progression of the soul (just like in Ancient Egypt). Also primary were self-sacrifice and penitence. And if any path claims to be Toltec and does not emphasize the importance of purifying the heart that system is not clearly Toltec. (If you want to go really deep and follow me in this paragraph you need to read this book Burning Water)
But still in the field of 'Toltec' don Miguel Ruiz is a safe choice. You will not have to filter out as much as with the other sources.Read more ›
