About the Author
H. Albert Napier is the professor of Management in the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University, teaching entrepreneurship, e-business, and information technology courses. Authoring over 60 textbooks, he is the Director of the Center of Management of Information Technology, owns a computer consulting and training company, and serves on the Board of Directors of several companies.
Philip J. Judd is a principal of Napier & Judd, Inc. His consulting activities include the analysis and design of automated business systems, planning for large-scale computer operations, the selection and implementation of office automation systems, the development of corporate modeling systems, and the design and implementation of personal computer network systems including Web site integration. Mr. Judd was previously an instructor in the Management Department and the Director of the Research and Instructional Computing Service at the University of Houston. He received his MBA and BBA degrees from the University of Houston.

This book is not for a Word user looking for a Word reference book. It is a tutorial for someone trying to learn Word. As a reference it is nearly useless. As a course, it is comprehensive and easy to follow. The accompanying CD contains instructions and sample documents to practice on.If you are an experienced Word user, look elsewhere for command references or guidance on how to perform a particular function.
