Excellent reference for the novice,
By RikkiMama (Sunnyvale, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mastering Windows XP Home Edition (Paperback)
Well written book for the novice home user who just needs to know how to get the most (and best) from Windows XP Home Edition. This book does a good job covering the features of the Home Edition, such as using the built-in CD burner and fax in language for the non-techie.If you are a more experienced computer user, you'll be disappointed in this book. Windows XP Inside Out or Special Edition Using Windows XP would be a better choice for you.

The best Windows book ever published,
By Manager of California University Lab (Palo Alto, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mastering Windows XP Home Edition (Paperback)
It's perfectlyclear that this product is a book and what a book it is! I was pleasantly suprised at the comprensive coverage and how well written this book is. It is an entertaining read unlike so many dry, boring computer books. I'm currently getting up to speed on Windows XP and have found everything that I need here in this in fabulous book. Hats off to Guy Hart-Davis for writing what is the BEST computer book I have ever come across. It should be considered the new BIBLE.

Introduction to XP,
By A Customer
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Mastering Windows XP Home Edition (Paperback)
I'd consider this more of an introduction to XP rather a reference for mastering XP. If you want to know how to change the default settings, use some of the XP tools or why chat programs are good then this book is good for you. If you want to know how to work around XP or nitty gritty detail this book does not help much
