Editorial Reviews

Review

"...it should be considered an extremely important and much overdue contribution to the ADHD clinical literature...Safren, et al. deserve kudos for taking the first step down that path with their splendid volumes, which, in addition to helping adults with ADHD, also shed light on the work yet to be done."--Journal of Attention Disorders

5.0 out of 5 stars I Use These Approaches With My Own Patients, March 4, 2011
This review is from: Mastering Your Adult ADHD: A Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment Program Client Workbook (Treatments That Work) (Paperback)
In addition to medication, therapy and behavioral interventions are the most popular treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I use these concepts and methods with my own adult ADHD patients. A large benefit of tracking ones thoughts and behaviors is that over time you can literally see your own progress when charted on a graph, which grants relief and continued inspiration for ADHD sufferers.

4.0 out of 5 stars A helpful guide, October 16, 2007

This review is from: Mastering Your Adult ADHD: A Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment Program Client Workbook (Treatments That Work) (Paperback)
This workbook covers all the angles in the CBT of adult ADHD. It's useful in its structure and its content. While even manual based approached must be individualized, allowing the client to have all the homework assignments in one place and with full explanations is very valuable for the success of the outcome.

The book is well organized and written to be used with the monitoring and mentoring of a therapist but a very motivated individual can also use it on their own.
