Another Classic From the Empress of Soul!,

I was lucky enough to catch E.C.'s performance at the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival on July 1, 2000 and I'm here to say this lady is the real thing. You will love the sassy attitude of songs like, "Funkified Blues" and "If You Don't Love Me." E.C. wraps her soulful voice around the Peter Gabriel classic, "Sledgehammer" and makes it all her own. Whether she's singing classic blues or stand up soul, she will make you feel every song. If you have never heard E.C. before, you're sure to become an instant fan--just as I did.

If you like sassy female blues artists you need to add E C's music to your collection. You will not be disappointed, I promise! She's sassy, soulful, sexy, and has an amazing voice. I also have "Hard Act to Follow", "Come Get Your Love", and the "Other Side of Me".
Listening to one of her CD's is one thing but seeing her perform live is another! You'll like her 10-20 times more if you see her live. My friend and I traveled from Kelso, Washington to Pittsburg, California a few years ago to see her at a blues festival. A few years later I went to another blues festival in Washington with different friend to see her perform again. We all agree, we liked her a lot better after seeing a live performance. Of course, we all enjoyed her music before seeing her live. E C Scott really sucks her audience in and a great time is had by all!

I heard E.C. about 6 years ago in a small Jazz club in San Fransisco, Ca. She did a rendition of Sam Cook's " Bring it on Home to Me" and simply blew up the place with her powerful voice!! She even brought up on stage a friend of mine to help her with some vocals...the crowd went crazy cause E.C. is amazing......and can out sing every artist on todays Top 40..she deserves more credit and publicity!!!!!!!!!!!
