this album is very good it's a shame you can't hear any of their songs on the radio right now or find this album in any stores.

I didn't know what to expect with this album after "Fix Me", their first album. "Fix Me" was awesome, the best album I've heard in a while. So when I heard "Cross My Heart", their first single from "Masterpiece Theater", I was hooked, and ready to hear more from this album. Since I've had this album, I've listened to it too many times to count. Every song is amazing, the intro ("Masterpiece Theater"), interlude ("Masterpiece Theater II"), and outro ("Masterpiece Theater III") tie the album together perfectly. But what makes this album the best album ever is the tremendous talent that is Josh Ramsay. His vocals on every track are amazing, and capture every emotion of every lyric in every song. This band has become one of my favorites, if not my favorite of all time, and this is definately the band to listen out for as they make their way to the States! But if you can't wait long enough, I suggest buy this album!

I absolutely adore this CD. It's truly amazing, and indeed, a masterpiece. More people need to listen to Marianas Trench with fun songs that you can dance to, as well as a ballad or two. :) I look forward to seeing the band blow up worldwide, and especially to any future albums. :)I know I'll be coming back for more.

OK first off I have to tell you that after listening to this CD 10000000000000000000000 times and seeing their show twice, I am still finding new things about it that I love. For one thing the entire concept of the project is BRILLIANT!!!! On so many levels. I love that every little thing was thought about and executed perfectly. And I love that it's so personal, and that it is geared toward a more mature audience than the last one. It gets me in mind of Queen/Beach Boys/Billy Joel. The vocals are spot on, the riffs are unique, the drum beats/loops (what ever they are called) are fantastic. And just the progression of the album in general is genious. There is such a broad range of songs on the album there is sure to be something to suit all tastes and likely something that will change your mind about some types of music you thought you wouldn't enjoy. These boys have serious skills, and have thought out every little detail. This is a major plus for Canadian Music, and just the music industry in general as it lets us know that it's not all fluff.
A MUST have for anyones collection.

Normally when I hear about bands from my friend in Canada I don't always like them. This one however had me hooked as soon as I listened to the first song. The songs are well written, exciting, and will blow your mind.

I honestly never would have expected to like a band like this. Especially when in the united states I had never ever heard of them before. This album is amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone I know or may meet.

Give it a try and I think you'll like it as well.

My Marianas Trench story goes something like this. After hearing "Cross My Heart" on the radio, and falling in love, I went to You Tube to hear more of their songs. They didn't disappoint. Every song is strong, with beautiful melodies sung by the talented front man, Josh Ramsay. The rest of the band supports him with unique and filling harmonies. I like how every song is a little unique, but they all tie in to the album and make it an enjoyable listen, start to finish. Normally when I buy a cd, there are one or two songs I love, and one or two that I hate, or could just skip over. Not on this album. Every song has something to love, and one bit that just gets stuck in your head. I think it's a step up from "Fix Me" which had a harder sound. "Masterpiece Theater" is more sophisticated and smooth, and anyone can find something they enjoy.

I bought this album because I liked a few Marianas Trench songs. I had downloaded Cross My Heart and All To Myself, and figured I should support the band more and buy the entire CD. In doing so, I did so much more than just support the band. I fell completely and madly in love. The album starts right off with the incredible vocals and harmonies that Marianas Trench is known for, and doesn't quit the whole way through. Usually on albums, you want to skip over a few songs that seem to just be there to fill the CD, but this one is an album that begs to be listened to all the way through. It's breathtakingly beautiful, heartbreakingly sad, and unbelievably fun all in one package. What more could you ask for?

I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of excellent material on this album. Most "albums" these days seem to consist of one or maybe two singles, plus filler. This album consists of 12 solid songs, 8 of which I consider fantastic, and are tied together by the three variations of Masterpiece Theatre. In addition to the infectious singles "All To Myself" and "Cross My Heart", I find myself playing "Beside You" and "Celebrity Status" over and over to hear the lovely harmonies. As the final song, Masterpiece Theatre III does an an amazing job creating an interesting medley of the previous songs while still being unique.

Songwriter/lead vocalist Josh Ramsay has an enormous amount of musical talent, and the rest of the band demonstrates exceptional musicianship. Only the lyrics come across as less sophisticated compared to the music, but probably this is just a symptom of how young these musicians are. I am eager to see how this band evolves, and can't recommend this album enough.

Honestly, I've become so used to only buying the songs I already like on itunes, I've forgotten what its like to buy a whole cd and hear each track. I'm glad for it though. I would probably never have heard some of these songs otherwise.
