This review is from: The Masters On the Dry Fly (Paperback)
This edition is a re print

I got mine in 1977, I was ten, my father bought it in London (St James) for me.

I was just a school boy dreaming about trouts an flies without even knowing how to fly fish, nor read english ... For an ten years French kid this is not unsual ;)

I kept it, browsing through Dave Witlock's amazing drawing wishing to learn how to read English.

Now, I'm 45 and I have read it thousand of times especially the Art Flick chapter "How to fish pocket water"

This applied so well to the acid streams of Lozere (French central mountains), once we studied that chapter we were detecting and catching fish everywhere.

Off course, it is somehow an old fashionned book, but they (I have it s companion "Masters of the Nymph") are very pleasant to read, very informative and beautiful books
