This Soundtrack is simply excellent!While the opening theme might put one in mind of the superman movie theme,the rest of the soundtrack is pure excellence!From fast paced to more somber music,this is a must for any Masters of the universe fan,or any lover of good mucic!

A sword and sorcery film, opposing an impossibly handsome he-man and a fiendish looking ghoul, named Skeletor, in a fight to the death for control of the universe, Masters of the Universe received an appropritely epic score from Bill Conti. The composer gleefully uses all the tenets of the genre to write cues that are all at once amusingly exhilerating and grandly representative of the screen action. Very few surprises here, just a rock-solid score that delivers the goods, with the Graunke Orchestra doing a bang up job in this spirited recording.

I own the Masters of the Universe Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (New Edition) 1992 which is only available on Cd. Plus I also own the original 1987 Masters of the Universe soundtrack by Varese Sarabande Records. It is available on vinyl, cassette, and Cd. I have them all. I will never let these soundtracks out of my sight. I will treasure them for the rest of my life.
