I enjoyed the first edition in 1998, read it cover to cover before fellowship, found this edition on sale for a remarkable $31 brand new, wow. Bought it while in Iraq, read most of it already. Great book. The first edition was better binding, better editing for errors. But hey for the price it is nice to get a $300 book for $30. Every working cardiothoracic surgeon should own this. You don't have to do it the way the authors do, but it makes for a good read. I am renewing my boards this year so it has been a nice review also. Highly recommend it. The first edition was a little better quality of the physical book not the content which is fine.

Excellent Cardiothoracic book. Would recommend it to anyone's library. Easy to read and comprehend and useful. It goes through how to conduct a procedures as well as the why and how around them.
