The best Gorgasm has to offer currently, this album goes along way technically proving brutal DM requires top notch musicianship and skill. Overall; the music formatting is dynamic, especially concerning the guitars, which lead every track. The guitars are constantly in story-telling formatting playing riff after riff with little repetition. The riffs, which may be related or completely different from previous ones flow well from one to the next and when each musical element is put together listened to in their entirety; the songs have a satisfying sense of completion. The technically most impressive feat of the guitar playing is the constant shredding through scales, which usually make up the main themes, which are broken up by complex solos, tremolo picked notes, heavy palm-muted chord progressions, and pitch harmonics. There are various melodies throughout the album that can be described as telling stories. For instance, in Charred Vaginal Effluence, the main theme is made up of a melody, which expands into other melodies that build on the main melody. They're all played with complex scales that are shredded through that sound like they take little effort. Overall; every instrument comes together with unpredictable and complex riffing. There are many abrupt tempo changes, some groove, and off beat time signatures that emphasize the more flowing blast beats and shredding. The drums pair up perfectly with the guitars. Either the blast beats flow along with the notes and chords or the drums play in for the guitars when they're off beat and vice-versa. While this album is mostly fast typical of brutal DM, there are instances of slower riffs throughout various songs. The vocals take on the traditional brutal death metal style, however, they're not as guttural as similar bands.

Gorgasm is like a cross between cannibal corpse and suffocation.Killer riff work,and not just dual vokills, but three vocalists,kinda like Nile....pick this up!! its killer...sick....twisted...ect.

Gorgasm's 2nd full length release, "Masticate to Dominate", is their most technical work and a step up for brutal death metal. What makes it stand out amongst most brutal death metal is the random tempo changes on songs such as "Anal Skewer" and "Stiched Oral Asphyxia". It usually drags from a swift pace to an unexpected slowdown. This is what caught my ear to this band. If you want brutal music that won't bore you after two songs and keeps its variety, look into this.
