This novel is of course a classic on bullfighting, but the prospective book buyer should be aware that the newer 1988 Capra Press hardcover edition includes an additional 34 page afterward by the author, written in 1987, that is comprised of the the author's true, first hand account of Manolete, the bullfighter considered by many to be Spain's greatest hero. This addition to the classic book makes the newer edition preferable to older editions.
