Compact and convertible, this Match Mates kit from Mabis includes a Sprague Rappaport-type stethoscope and an aneroid sphygmomanometer for quick, comfortable, and accurate measurements. Suitable for nurses, students, and EMTs, the kit’s sphygmomanometer features a lifetime calibration warranty, an EZView luminescent dial, and a calibrated adult cuff made of durable nylon. The color-coordinated stethoscope comes with a chrome-plated binaural, three interchangeable chest pieces (infant, medium, and adult sizes), and two diaphragms, both small and large, to accommodate range in pitch. The kit also includes three types of ear tips for user preference and comfort. Stored in its included matching carrying case, the kit is easily portable, measuring 9 by 5 by 2 inches and fitted with an outer handle and loop. I bought this kit to practice for an EMT class I'm taking. The stethoscope has a clear sound, and there the soft ear buds make for a more comfortable fit than the standard hard plastic ones.

For use in the field, I'd probably buy a better -scope, but this suits the needs of one needing something for home/class use.

I purchased this to monitor blood pressure while on a medication that could effect blood pressure. Both the sphygmomanometer and the stethoscope worked fine for home use and my wife and I were able to make reasonably accurate readings. However, the tubing in the cuff sprung a leak after less than a dozen uses and the unit cannot be repaired economically.

This product is for infrequent, novice, home users only.. The included steth works ok for BP measurement..but chest sounds/heart beats are almost inaudible. The double tube stethoscope creates too much noise during use. This item has been returned.
