Book Description

Bonnie Nichols wasn't the kind of girl to crash a wedding. Or throw things. But somehow, she ends up doing both...at her ex-boyfriend's wedding.

Bonnie has been in love with Chase Somers since elementary school and seeing him at the altar with the absolute wrong girl causes her to do the unthinkable—toss a shoe in his direction in order to try and stop it.  But she doesn’t count on the shoe knocking him out. Nor does she count on the entire church knowing it was her who did the throwing.  The shoe doesn’t stop the wedding, but it does make her the laughingstock of her town.

As Bonnie copes with both the embarrassment of her actions and the loss of the boy she has always loved, her best friend Jill attempts to yank her out of her despair by pushing her to use Match Me, an online dating service.  Despite her skepticism, Bonnie agrees to go on a few dates, dates that end up going comically bad.

Convinced that she will be single forever, an unanticipated complication causes Bonnie to take stock of her life and the people around her.  Was she really ever in love with Chase Somers? Or was loving him simply the easy thing to do?

Crashing the wedding—and throwing that shoe—just may end up being the smartest thing she's ever done.

3.0 out of 5 stars Quick read September 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am going back and forth on how to rate this book, between 2 and 3. If I could, I'd rate it 2.5. I did laugh out loud a few times, and just for the E.Coli stuffed toy, I've decided on the three stars.

It's a fast read. I finished it in less than an hour. I enjoyed it although I must admit, I am not much of a fan of the main character, Bonnie. I understand "love" can make you do stupid things but some of her actions are cringe worthy borderline pathetic. I just don't see what Paul sees in her and I wish the author has explored more on their relationship. The ending just seems kind of sudden, although predictable.

Overall, I did enjoy it, I laughed out loud a few times, but I would be less forgiving if I had paid for it. I downloaded this for free.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple Fun Read. :) September 21, 2012
By Mint
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Bonnie wasn't the kind of girl to crash a wedding. She thought it was her responsibility, not as Chase's ex-girlfriend but as one of his best friends, to protect him. To make him see he was making a mistake. To make him see they weren't meant to be. To tell him she know, without a doubt, that they'd be divorced before the end of the year.

Bonnie kept finding herself in trouble. And every time she's saved by Paul, Chase's best friend and one of the groomsmen. He'd helped her at the wedding. At the grocery store. At the restaurant. At the drug store. At her apartment.

The book kept it so simple that we don't even get to know the main character's last names!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good story. January 2, 2013

I have to admit once i picked up the book, i couldn't stop reading it. I finished it in a day. The story was very nice and funny. It seems you already pick up on the ending before it actually ends, but it keeps you entertained until the end. The characters are simple but they stick with you until the end.

If you like sweet romance, you'll like this.
