Dayna Duncan is a former gold-medal Olympic star who now works for Omega, a top secret organization reporting directly to the President. She is given an assignment to play the St. Andrews Course in Scotland to be near a young North Korean golf sensation Omega feels is ready to defect to the USA along with her scientist father and mother.
Complicating the assignment for Dayna is the fact that her former lover Luke Harper is stationed near the course at the nearby Royal Airforce Base. During the Olympics the two of them had been front-page sport news for their sizzling romance. Dayna doesn't realize that Luke broke off the relationship because Dayna's coach asked him to stay away because Dayna needed absolute concerntration and Luke was too much of a distraction. So now, although Dayna still carries the hurt, she feels she can handle the possibility she might see him again---and she literally runs into him. Mike Callahan--Hawkeye--who is the accompanying operative with Dayna in Scotland feels that fighter pilot Luke Harper may actually be able to help their assignment by creating a romantic diversion with Dayna. Of course, the diversion turns to a rekindled romance. A sub plot brews between Mike Callahan and Gillian Ridgeway, who hopes to join Omega and comes in handy creating distractions at the right time in Scotland during the operation. Callahan finds her too much of a distraction. If you like Merline Lovelace, then you'll enjoy this latest. There's no doubt she knows her airplanes and her flyboys!

Merline Lovelace hits another homerun with this awesome addition to her Code Name: Danger series. Gripping suspense and fiery passion are expertly woven together to form a gripping, emotional read that will keep the reader eagerly turning the pages.

I thought this book was great! It only took me two days to read it. I couldn't put it down. It was well written and the characters just seemed to come alive. Thought the setting and the storyline was very original. Loved it!
