Matchbox cars clearly are not like they were when I was a kid. When Mattel (Hotwheels) aquired Matchbox through the Tyco purchase, clearly there was some 'Cross contamination" between the two lines as a result. Matchbox always seemed more realistic, more solidly built and more consistent regarding their scale from car to car, but that seems like a focus that was lost long ago. So the nostalgia factor is 0, but that being said, they are just toy cars. My kid doesn't care which brand they are, only that they are fun to play with. He plays for hours on a table-top playset, and the variety in this pack gives him options from contruction equipment and services vehicles, to sports cars and station wagons. Add in the few pick-up trucks and the helicopter and you have a complete set of options. Not too bad.

Toys are durable and have good quality. Was good choice for my babe. I consider you to buy this. Regarding price and quantity of cars, is nice choice.

Yes, the schoolbus would of been cool.. but I didnt get it. I got some nice ones in my set though..

Anyways, great set.. I would order another, but I want others to chime in and let me know if they got the same ones or different ones.

We bought this matchbox 20 car set for our 26 month old grandson for Christmas since he loves trucks and this package has more trucks than cars. He loves it. It is the first thing he grabs when he comes over and he knows the names of all the trucks. He liked it more than the more expensive Christmas gifts he got.

These toys are very durable and the kids had fun with them. Bought a set for each of my boys and I have had no regrets to date.
I would recommend this item.

My two and a half year old grandson was delighted with the set of Matchbox vehicles. He likes to move them around his playmat and line them up. The set came with a nice variety of vehicles.

Bought this toy for my 1 year old son, who loves cars and makes the engine sound while "driving" them. It went with those road city rugs made for make believe. Now my 3 year old daughter loves playing with cars for the purpose of the road rug I bought. WARNING: If these toys are bought for a boy there might be pink cars in them. My set came with a pink ice cream truck and my son instantly gave it to his sister and she called dibs on it. Some of the toys may be a choking hazard. I had two construction vehicles, both vehicles had small parts that came off and wound up in my son's mouth, but thank God he didn't choke on it! I just threw the small parts away. Nice sized cars for the convenience of little hands and hours of car racing on my walls and on my doors!

My 2 1/2yr old son will play with these cars for hours. He pretends to drive them all over the tables and floor. It keeps him busy and happy.

Matchbox die cast, how can you go wrong with that. I played with them when I was a kid and now my 2 year old son is having fun with them. When we bought them we didnt know what to expect as he had only played with bigger toy cars. But this was a total hit, and since then we have bought at least 2 more packages like this one. he takes them everywhere he goes, he has even named some of them. I would say that by far this is his favorite toy (and because they are cheap, I am not complaining about that. we received a fork lift and dozer both whith breakable parts, but it is also recommended for kids 3 and up, so i cannot complain.

I agree with the other reviewer. My son loves school buses and I had bought this item specifically for the School Bus. I figured it was definitely going to be in the set since there was a picture of just the School Bus. The school bus was not included in my set. If you are buying this set for one specific care I would suggest trying to but that item as a single as you will probably not receive it in your set.
