Young firefighters, ambulance workers and police officers will appreciate and enjoy this clunky but entertaining game. Over 80 rescue missions are found throughout the city and suburbs. Kids use the mouse, keyboard and a large onscreen direction arrow to get themselves to each rescue location. Driving the vehicles is awkward but doable. Kids will have to smash through boxes, road cones, poles, buildings and even people (they jump to the side) to get to their destinations. It's nearly impossible to drive without major destruction along the way. Once at the rescue locations, the rest of the work is done for the child, a missed opportunity for greater involvement. The graphics are fairly detailed, and the theme will appeal, but the program's operation is a bit awkward. Testers, however, enjoyed the game in spite of its weaknesses.

My 3 year old son loves this game! The game isn't structured in a "story" type format, so he doesn't have to really do anything but drive if that's all he's int he mood for. He loves the motorcycle, and he's very much into playing police/fireman games right now, so it's perfect. Graphics are nicely done, not knock-your-socks-off great, but nicely done. Perfect for kids because like I said, there isn't a set way that you have to play it or it shuts off. Also, he uses the keyboard to control the game, which is much easier for hands that aren't big enough to get to all the buttons on a controller.
From my side, the sound effects are a little bit too much-sirens and such, but the volume can be turned down, so that's not a huge deal. There's no killing/guns/enemies-nice and non-violent. And it keeps his attention very well- I have to drag him off the computer!

A very good purchase.

My five year old is crazy about this program. And, it's not violent, and he can operate it on his own.

This game is truely a fun game. You get to save the city as a firefighter, police man, and a paramedic. So try to rent it some where before you buy it. It's a very hard game. I recommend it for children 8 and up. But it's up to you parents. So go and play it. Have fun. You will Love. Play it or else. Go and get it NOW! Thanks.
