Rubik's Magic, like Rubik's Cube, is a mechanical puzzle invented by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ern? Rubik and first manufactured by Matchbox in the mid-1980s. The puzzle consists of 8 black square tiles (Changed to red squares with goldish rings in 1997) arranged in a 2 × 4 rectangle; diagonal grooves on the tiles hold lines that connect them, allowing them to be folded onto each other and unfolded again in two perpendicular directions (assuming that no other connections restrict the movement) in a manner similar to a Jacob's Ladder toy.

It is a very good product. I got the Rubik's Magic from my grandpa as a gift six years ago. It was one of the original design. He gasve it to me without the instructions, so I had to figure it out on my own. Once you learn how to solve it, the Rubik's Magic becomes extremely simple to solve. There are actually several different solutions. Mine is quite durable (I used to throw it at the wall when I was angry) and it hasn't broken, but be careful. It is only held together by something like rubber bands, which I hear is very fragile on the newer versions. The original is much better quality. Never, ever, try to force the Rubik's Magic into a position, or it will break the strings. Other than that, I completely reccommend buying this. Of course, I got it for free, but you could probably buy it for $5 at Target.
