4.0 out of 5 stars delightful contemporary, March 7, 2004
This review is from: The Matchmaker's Sister (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Widower Nate Shepard leaves the military to raise his four children by himself. He opens up a coffeehouse and struggles to be a single dad.

Miranda Danville enjoys working as a designer, but finds herself quite attracted to the retired officer. However, though she may desire Nate and feel he is incredibly great, she is not ready to be a stepmother to his four children. Nate has doubts too about a new mother for his children and going down the aisle again even as he feels he is in love with Miranda.

Miranda's sister Ainsley sees this duo as a perfect match. Deciding to weave her matchmaking skills to pair this obvious couple up, Ainsley finds four young APPRENTICE MATCHMAKERS ably helping her, but the target of the heart string quintet are an obstinate duo.

The second matchmaker romance is a fun tale starring two charming individuals insisting they are not in love and singing matchmaker, matchmaker don't make me a match. The theme has been used forever even before Dolly yet Karen Toller Whittenberg makes her plot feel quite fresh because of team matchmaking. The key six characters all have unique personalities though the kids seem a bit too willing and precocious overall. Readers who enjoy a delightful contemporary will also look forward to next month's THE MATCHMAKER'S PLAN.
