A transplanted city girl, Carolyne moved to the country when her fiancee and now husband, decided he wanted to farm. The move took quite well and Carolyne learned to milk cows, herd cows, drive a tractor, can, freeze, garden, bake, cook and preserve. She and her husband raised four wonderful children and took in numerous foster children. Somewhere along the way Carolyne decided she wanted to recreate her own version of the romance novels she loved reading. In her writing she yearns to show redemption and change and the chance to start over. Coming home to faith and love is a thread that is woven through every story she writes.

Not ready for marriage,

They both have problems that need to be dealt with. The healing will be slow and painful. They can lean on each other during the healing...Silas lost his wife two years ago to cancer. He and his daughter, Lilly are still deeply grieving. Throughout the story, Silas has a lot of anger and pent up emotions. He's even tried to keep his daughter from thinking about her mother... Lilly was wild in her younger days and her grandmother (and some others) will not let her forget it! Lilly has a long road of healing as she comes to terms with the fact that she is no longer guilty for her past sins. The book was slow in may places. The girls were both cute. I'm glad the two got together, but I don't believe they were ready for marriage. I think this marriage would end up in an articles of "Can this marriage be saved?" I think eventually they could get more serious, but right now they have too many issues to work out...
