4.0 out of 5 stars how to design a conveyor, May 14, 2006
This review is from: Bulk Material Handling by Conveyor Belt IV (Bulk Material Handing By Conveyor Belt Proceedings, 4) (v. 4) (Paperback)
A rather dry book to anyone not in this field. It has papers written about belt conveyancing of material from mines. While outsiders might think this is a simple issue, there is actually a great deal of analysis in how to configure any given conveyor. The papers delve into some of the issues.

For example, a very long conveyor could need extra drives at its head and tail, to adjust the tension on the belt. Or having heavy loads on a belt might require a greater frictional property of the belt.
