. May be I'am slow but I'd never heard of Mel Waiters. My son-in-law, turned me on to him while we were in Lousiana.- HOLE IN THE WALL-came on the radio, and he explain what A-Hole-In-The-Wall was down in Baton Rouge,and BACK THAT THING UP AND DROP IT LIKE IT HOT.So his mother invited me to a "TYRONE,MARVIN,SHIRLEY AND MEL WAITERS CONCERT", only because I wanted to see TYRONE DAVIS. Well to make a long story short, MEL, MARVIN and SHIRLEY TURNED IT OUT ! I am now a blues-lover!....

Mel is regular. It was good to get this cd. I was familiar with Hole In The Wall-the remix. And hits like Smaller The Club. But, Mel surprised me with songs like Material Things and Running Stop Lights. If you missed this one, my advice is for you to pick it up. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I HAD LIVED IN LOUISANNA AND WHILE THERE MY HOUSE CAUGHT ON FIRE AND LOST EVERYTHING. I MOVED HERE TO MINNESOTA AND WANTED TO GET MY CD COLLECTION STARTED AGAIN. MAN HEARING MY MAN MEL WAITERS TOOK ME BACK TO CRAWFISH, GOOD FOLKS AND OOH THE MUSIC.

this is the best blues album I've heard in quite a while.

I was flying to Houston Texas on vacation back in 2001.Mel Waiters was having a concert that Friday evening.My cousins were all excited and asked me if I wanted to go see Mel Waiters,I asked them "Who is he?", they said "you will love him,he puts on very good show!" I then told them "O.K.,buy me a ticket and I will pay you back".They were not lying,he was absolutely GREAT!From that time on,I am a very big fan of Mel Waiters and luckily I have seen him in concert once in D.C.and I'm going to see him in concert again pretty soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
