FOR A BOOK OF LIMITED USE THE PRICE IS NOT RIGHT, February 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Ceramic Materials for Electronics (Electrical and Computer Engineering) (Hardcover)
This book covers all the main areas of electronic ceramic materials technology of the 80's and early 90's in a rather comprehensive fashion. It should be regarded as a compilation of the elementary princples on which this technology is based on. The reader would also find a vast amount of experimental results of studies on ceramic systems that have enjoyed some commercial success. Overall however, the book provides nothing but and very superficial overview of the subject. It is neither a textbook nor a treatment of a specialized topic in full depth. Therefore, the book is of very limited use. The book is of the "supplementary reading" type, however I would not consider it as a reference text. The price is unacceptably high, even for a professional specializing in this field.
