I used this casebook for the first time last year in my law school class. So far, anyway, it is the only text I have found that is appropriate for my class. I doubt anyone not studying the law would be interested, though!

This textbook will give you the bread and butter of the body of law involved in the death penalty. One of the main problems with this text is the poor editing of the cases. While I understand that seminal cases like Gregg and Furman need to take up some space, but it's hard to justify a case that only has limited application to take up over 30 pages. This textbook will give you the bread and butter of the body of law involved in the death penalty. One of the main problems with this text is the poor editing of the cases.
