"Beautifully written. I am working through this book now and each time I put it down I become more convinced that it is worth more than it's weight in gold. Much more theoretical than Jones' book. I feel that the two complement each other well."
"A good place to start for vector calculus. The author assumes you have taken the standard intro to integral and differential Calculus sequence, but not much else. You work your way through the higher dimensional analogues of the fundamental theorems of Calculus and at the end the author gives you a taste of differential forms."
"Very good graduate level text on modern numerical analysis. Starts with a summary of important results from real/functional analysis. The remainder of the text covers many topics in the theory of modern numerical analysis in a very clear and concise manner."
