This book is great for all learning styles! The activities are very hands-on and get the kids thinking. They actually have to "talk math"! All activities come with a teacher page clearly laying out what you need along with rules and variations to keep the activities from becoming repetitive. Students think it is fun because they actually get to play games in math!

This book is very easy to use and can be utilized at a moment's notice as long as you have cards and dice. If you don't have cards, they have a set of reproducible cards in the back of the book! The contents list includes the skills used in each game which make it very easy to align with curriculum and/or standards. There are a variety of concepts used in this book and each can be adapted to a variety of abilities. What better way to learn math than by having fun?!?! Let's Make 14 is an excellent game to help students work with probability by finding mean, median, mode, range and standard deviation. It could be used with older students as well. It's Your Call and 3 Ways to Win are very fun ways of working with expected winnings. I loved the Stacking Dice game which worked with addition of whole numbers. This is a perfect companion to any math textbook!
