I am in my first semester of nursing and this is our "required" math book. I have to be 100% honest and tell you that this book is the greatest thing since apple pie. If I can understand this book, and I'm no math wiz, you'll be pleased and surprised with your new math abilities. I certainly am!

I actually needed to purchase the 10th Ed of this book and accidently purchased this book. I later bought the correct edition and they are identical. The book was brand new and in great condition when delivered and arrived promptly. I needed this book for nursing school and it has alot of must need problems and questions that are necessary in order to be successful within any program.

I bought this book for my first semester of nursing classes. I haven't started my classes yet, but I have been working my way through the book ahead of time. It is very easy to read and understand. Step-by-step instructions are concise along with examples. Many examples for you to complete yourself with answers to check your work. Summary tests at the end of each chapter are great too. I am not worried about understanding the concepts in this book once my class starts. I feel very prepared for my class.

THis workbook explains the concepts of math for medication administration in an excellent way. Clear and concise.

Okay, so not everyone agrees how much fun a testbook can be. This book was pretty straightforward in explanation. Great examples, and plenty of practice.

I purchased this book in order to get ahead in an upcoming pharm class. I had no idea that it would be so difficult to put it down. The authors of the book make it fun to learn the concepts by putting them in everyday terms. When I finish a chapter, I can't wait to begin the next one. Additionally, this is the first time the SI has made sense to me.

I think this is a must for anyone going into nursing or the health care field. Nice bright pictures and answers to every problem. I would highly recommend it!!

The book is well put together however, there are many typo's within the problem sets. Looking beyond that one issue, the book is well written and well planned. The greatest asset of this book lies within the number of "problems for practicing" the mathematical concepts for dosing.
Personally, I found the Dimensional Analysis method to be far easier, straightforward, and lends to fewer errors than the traditional algebraic methodology set forth from the author.
All in all, this book is above average.

This is a practical book with mainly common sense facts. It offers a short brief description of everything you need to know about medications. Its a good review for experienced people or easy to read information to new users. It goes all the way to basic math to IV meds. For the price I would definitely recommend this to anybody that wants a quick cheat sheet to practicing safe med passing.
