Mary Powell combines her years of experience in the business world with her math knowledge to "make math real".Her years of teaching 7th & 8th grade math, as well as years at the junior college level teaching Elementary & Intermediate Algebra, as well as Developmental Math and preparation for Standardized Tests (ACT, SAT, TASP) gave her an insight into the deficiences in "basic math concepts". She also addresses those with "fears of math".

She is the author of a Self-Tutoring Math KIT with all instruction on cassette tape in both English & Spanish. She also developed a line of geometry posters.
