Choose your math signs
Math is Fun

Do you want to make sure math isn't your kid's "worst subject"? Make math fun for your child with Math Training for Kids. This app is a great way for your kids to practice their basic arithmetic and have a good time.

Bring those flowers to life
Customize Your Quiz

Choose from three difficulty levels, and the four signs of math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The player can mix and match any combination of math signs they wish to play. For example, the game can focus on only addition and subtraction, or focus on all four signs.

For each question, you're presented with five flower pots. Every time you answer a question correctly, a pretty sunflower comes to life. If you miss a question, you lose a flower. When you bring five sunflowers to life through the power of math, you're rewarded with a round of applause and a shimmering shooting star. Lose five flowers, and it's game over.

The player has a limited amount of time to answer each question. The higher the difficulty level, the more answers you have to choose from.

More Options

Math Training for Kids comes with a statistics screen so you keep track of your child's progress. You have the option of turning the sound effects and music off and on, as well as setting the questions' number range from 1 to 100.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a game. Just a multiple choice test. February 7, 2012

It's amazing what passes as a kids game on the Market. This app is a fine little tool for practicing addition, multiplication, etc. It's marginally more engaging than flash cards, but no kid will mistake it for a game. Graphics are rudimentary. The "reward" screen is laughable. Points are meaningless. If you want an engaging math game, try math maniac, bubbles of math, or math scramble.

I'm looking forward to my kid on testing this. those who said multiplication only went up to 2, needs to check options first. has number range from 10 to 100. I know some of us might need practice after years of no school.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect timing! February 7, 2012

Just had my daughters school conference last night and her teacher said she needs more practice with subtraction. This will keep her attention longer than flashcards. and it has the added bonus of being timed, which is how she is tested in school. Looks great on my kindle fire.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great.... February 7, 2012
Verified Purchase
This game looks great and runs fast on my kindle. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I also noticed what was mentioned before - on the hardest difficulty for multiplication you were still only multiplying by 0, 1, and 2. I loved that you can mix addition, subtraction, multiplication and division all together during the game. Great idea. We will be keeping this game. I look forward to an update to make it even harder. Thanks amazon and the developers for a fun, educational game that holds your attention.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute flashcard type game February 7, 2012

HTC Inspire. Very cute. Answer the question correctly, grow a sunflower. Starts automatically at adding numbers to 10, but the you just change it to add, subtract, etc. Get applause and fireworks when you complete a level. May not hold interest for a long time, but a great tool for practice time, as in, play this for 5 min before another game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes it goes above 10. February 7, 2012

This is a great multiple choice, flashcard based game. You can play a combination of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division by checking/ unchecking them on the home screen. And yes, unlike the other reviews state, you can go beyond 10. Under options you can increase the numbers by tens up to 100. Great tool for young children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super Basic February 7, 2012
This is a fairly elementary (hah!) app that does exactly what it claims: basic math training for kids. It gives you problems of addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, and offers up multiple choices as the answer. You pick the right one, you get the question right. The display is cutesy, I guess, though since I'm not 5-10 years old it's hard to tell if that appeals to kids or not! The math is very rudimentary, but this app works as a good repetition tool for teaching. The only real negative is the sound, which I would suggest muting right away - it'll get old, fast!

You may need Wi-Fi to download this since it's 8.7MB, depending on your device!
