4.0 out of 5 stars I think it is good, September 30, 2011
This review is from: Math Video Tutor DVD: 1 (Video Tutor) (CD-ROM)
I think this is great for kids to get a visual and audio lesson. You can pause it and go over the concepts with your little ones and have manipulatives. I don't believe it was meant for you child to sit there and watch it and memorize. It is to help learn basic concepts. It says ages 3 to 5, but I think this is just my opinion) we want babies to learn too much too early. If you wait until a child is 5 or 6 to learn things we say is for a 3 or 4 year old, then that 5 or 6 year old will pick up on the concept quicker and without or with less frustration. I believe in the days where kids didn't go to school so young. Kindergarten is not a requirement in most states. There are more lively videos out there that they can sing and dance too but this one is a teaching video, like in the form of lessons. It is like having a teacher on your tv except you don't see them just the lesson.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor presentation, September 15, 2010
This review is from: Math Video Tutor DVD: 1 (Video Tutor) (CD-ROM)
The material is presented poorly for this age group (3 -5). Too fast paced, very scant visual support, un-imaginative rendition.
It would be rather far-fetched to expect a 3-year old to look, for example, at an addition equation (5 +5 =?) and figure out the result on the fly....
yet this is a common occurrence in the video.

4.0 out of 5 stars math DVD, June 26, 2007
This review is from: Math Video Tutor DVD: 1 (Video Tutor) (CD-ROM)
Seems ok altho my child paid little attention to it - perhaps presented in a boring manner compared to some others we have
