My students loved this game. They were eager to learn the math in order to complete their tours. This game really helps students to strengthen problem solving skills. I would recommend this to any K-8 student and teacher. Also check out Grammar For The Real World.

this game was very confusing when i first installed it, but after about five minutes i figured out how to play it. it's a good game but it gets boring after 30 minute periods. There are parts that i don't understand how they have to do with math at all, but all in all a good game, i would recomend it for fourth and fifth graders, possibly third graders who are learning decimals, or sixth graders who are reviewing concepts.

I was looking for engaging software for my 7th grade son to practice and increase understanding of math concepts. There's plenty of practice here, but no explanation of how to figure out problems that were solved incorrectly. Not helpful as a tutorial.

I had this game years ago, around the late 90s. It was so much fun. I'm about to explode trying to tell the Amazon crowd about it. What can I say? I had trouble with Math. Using this helped to strengthen my ability to use quick, mental Math. It was a great way to spend my weekends. The games made it so much fun. The problems with adding up food tabs, adding weight, etc., they come in handy. So when someone goes shopping, they can round up and pretty much get a close estimate of how much they owe. it covers everything from Area, Gas budget, decimals, division, and a a pie chart section too. I wish I could get another copy to work with Vista. I sadly lost my only copy years ago and am not sure if it will work on this computer. But if you have an old computer (Like Windows 2000 and under), give it a try. This is a staple game for anyone with Jr. High-aged children who need help in their studies. It's a good head-start over the Summer!

I bought this for my 12 year old son so that he might do some math over the summer break. It was so much like a game he truly enjoyed it. I checked out the problems he was having to solve and though they were fairly simplistic (ie calculating how much the group of kids could all spend in the cafe), it was math that is used in "the real world". He was solving problems and enjoying it, so I'm a big fan of this product. I would love to see this company produce more of the same. Definitely worth more than I paid for it.

Well, it's about a band going on a tour through the United States. That's the first problem with this game. It's very USA-orientated, which will make it a little confusing for the British, the Australians and, of course, Kiwis like me. However, it teaches maths. The reward for getting mathmatical questions right is creative. You get to create scenes for a music video. The more scenes you are able to create, the higher up you get in the chart. If you manage to make ten by the time you've gone to ten different places on the tour (usually San Fransisco, Houston, St Louis, New York and Atlanta among others) you make #1 on the charts. Meanwhile, you have an arcade type game to get to as many gigs as possible without letting the fans and the press get to you, and filling in for drummer Elizabeth "Zibbie". However, when playing on the drums, another member of the band will be standing next to you on stage, they'll turn around three times and express how they think you're going. This really puts me off, especially if they scowl because you're doing badly. The order of band members will usually be: Sonny, 8-Track, Rusty, Sam and finally Grace. For example, if you're doing badly on the first one, Sonny will turn, screw up his face and scowl. If you do well the fourth time, Sam will turn, smile and wink. Their reactions are entertaining, if offputting.
Finally, there's the animation. It is one of the worst examples of professional animation I have seen. The wheels on the van don't look like they're attached. Sonny, when he's looking out the window, is wrinkled like an old man when he's probably only in his twenties. When they turn around on stage, Rusty is the only one to have a normal look in his reaction. If you do badly, he'll give you an annoyed glare, but he won't look as ferocious as Sam. If you're doing OK, he'll give the thumbs up and smile, but he won't look as hyper as Sonny. Overall, if you want a bit of relaxing fun and especially if you're American, you should get this.

I got this about 6 months ago and i have to say i really liked this program. The lasting appeal won't last long i just use it to sharpen my math skills, two things i don't like about it is one: when you get a problem wrong it doesn't tell you how you should've solved it like it doesn't give you the steps in solving it and two: some of the math problems are really to hard for me to solve (i wasn't very good at math so don't judge haha) like the area, diameter, circumference, radius and perimeter ETC. I would say this program is more for high school students. but overall a good educational game

This game is of the hook, the graphics are better than in half-life, or doom 3. The band names are awesome. Mine is beat 2 beat. The back ground is amazing. The video maker is awesome. The math problems are like ones i haven't even learned yet,and i am in College. The best game for all those crazy gamers out there!!!!
