This review is from: Mathematical Models of Spoken Language (Hardcover)
The author Prof. Stephen Levinson is a pioneer in speech technology. In this textbook he brings forth tremendous important mathematical theories that have been developed in the field. I'm lucky enough to take his class this semester. Not only the spirit of mathematical theories are covered, he also address all possible practical technical issues one may encounter when developing the technique. Therefore, this book has to be clearly distinguished from ordinary literature review book or journal, as the author has been worked seriously in this area ever since sometime around 70s, and this is indeed his precious personal experience.
